Installation of the
Memorial Panels was completed 11 July 2004. The panels are of stainless
steel with the names of those remembered etched into the steel for
eternity.

Neil Geis stands under the flag and flag pole he
donated to the Memorial in memory of BMCM Norm McCullock. The new flag
is larger and flies higher than the previous flag.

The Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Mike Mullen
addresses troops in an award ceremony at the Memorial. Admiral Mullen is
now the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
