The Memorial was
incorporated in the state of California on 3 December 2002 as the Vietnam
Unit Memorial Monument Fund (VUMMF). The VUMMF was granted tax
exempt status under California Revenue and Exemption Code
23701(d) on February 24 2003. The Internal Revenue service has
determined that the VUMMF qualifies for tax exempt status under section
501©(3) of the Internal Revenue code in their letter of February 20,
2003. Donations to the VUMMF are now deductible under the 501(c)(3)
statute.
- BOARD OF
DIRECTORS: The Board of Directors consists of Vietnam Veterans who have
been associated with the project and worked on the Small Boat Display
and Monument construction.

Virgil Erwin, John Howell, Robert Shinn, Gene Glasco, Jack White, Lou
Hahn, Don Farrell, Bob Bolger, Billy Ellis and Ken McGhee. They may be contacted through

The Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss ongoing and future
aspects of the Memorial. Additionally there are a number of Veterans
who have participated in the construction and development of the Memorial
who will make up the initial Membership of the Corporation.
- MEMBERSHIP: The
VUMMF is incorporated as a Membership organization in which Navy and
Coast Guard Veterans
interested in the concept may submit application. No membership fees
are required. See "Membership"
